Luxury is different in Japan. It is the most retail frenzied country I have been to. There was a department store in Shinjuku station that I heard does $1 billion in sales every year. 1 store. The personalization of goods is an art form and the Japanese are the best. There is no one sioze fits all, no one design in every size, no two people with the same anything. It is amazing.
The Ginza area is the best place to see it all, watch it all, and experience it all.
